The circle flip card meets The Wilderness awaits!

Hi there,
Hope you've managed to enjoy the warmer weekend we just had...I spent most of my Saturday watching the neighbourhood children in our blow up pool. And then feeding them all.... it was a lovely day and there was lots of laughter....and LOADS of mess!
And then today whilst my family attended a pretty large 60 strong picnic I was at work....at my hospital job. Knee deep in blood pressures and crosswords!! There's a craze amongst the patients at the moment to all collectively complete the newspaper crosswords. Its fab actually to see everyone working together! Its really important to be a part of a community when working in a hospital.....its a difficult time for patients and simple things make big differences! I find it a priveledge.
Anyway....today I bring another card using the circle flip die and I paired it with my current favourite stamp set "The Wilderness awaits" I'm just so in love with the images in this set. Stampin' Up are so good at creating scenes of nature that are so true to life..... it makes our job so easy!!

This features a beautiful Mallard duck and I kept the colour to a minimum as I felt I didn't want to take away from the beauty of the images simplicity too much. I used the sentiment "nature evokes the imagination" from the stamp set moon lake.

There's something very "British countryside" about The Wilderness Awaits....
Which Is something i'm so passionate about....we have such beautiful scenery all over the UK and where I live in Leicestershire is very pretty and i'm blessed to be so close to such serenity!
I did the colouring using the blender pens which are fantastic....I find them so easy to use.
Below I leave the list of products used and remember if you order from me you're custom is very appreciated. I love having the opportunity to connect with more crafters and share he love of using Stampin' Up products!

Another stunner with the Circle flip card die...

Hi there,
As promised I went away after my last blog and created another circle flip card. Its a really fun card design and I'm a little hooked!! This next card is perfect to send in support of someone embarking on something new as you'll see form the sentiment....

The butterfly is a lovely surprise when the card is opened. I used some of the new metal rimmed pearls on this project and they are really swish. They look fab!
I've decided to give this card away on my Facebook page

Its my first giveaway
so I really hope the winner likes it!
Today has been a day I would have like to absorb my self in crafting but as mummy i've been refereeing our 3 boys who are frankly getting bored of each other now.
At one point I sat in my craft room and sorted out my scraps box...which is really quite therapeutic. Its strange though, even though I threw lots into recycling the amount at the end looked just the same!!
My husband is a Youth Leader at church and has been off camping with a group of 13 to 18 year olds...he returned today so hopefully I may get a bit of craft time real soon!! Well..... once hes recovered from his sleep deprivation that is!
As always i'll include a list of materials below and my online shop is open 24/7.

Remember when placing an order in excess of £15 less delivery I will mail you a FREE 2015/16 catalogue worth £5!
I truly feel priveledged to have you visit my blog and will be back in a few days with another circle flip card to show you!
Please leave comment if you feel you'd like, I love reading them!
See ya soon
XOXO

You're Fabulous

Hi there,
Today I've been playing with the circle card thinlet die. It makes a fantastic show stopping feature card with that real wow factor. With it being the summer holidays and having the children permanently attached to me I've had to find a little crafting time to keep me sane. Not that they're hard work or anything!!! :)
I find it hard to work out how I managed to unwind before I became a paper crafter. I used to crochet but due to a whiplash injury that became too difficult.... I'm an avid reader, but only at bed time.....I guess I just filled my life with chores....I always used to find it hard on forms to fill in the "Hobbies" section...it was a bit sad to be honest. Now however I have to pencil in a bathroom cleaning session!
Any way back to the card.....have a peek and see what you think!!

I think it works so well in these colours, really classy and looks luxurious. I love this paper by Stampin Up...its so pretty. Its called Timeless Elegance and the name suits it perfectly. There is such a small amount of product used to make this card its super economical to make lots and I'm planning on creating a great selection of Christmas cards in this design.
Below shows the inside and the flip side of the circle all ready for your loving words.

Its really easy to make too..... suiting all abilities of crafter.
If I'm honest i've had the die for a couple of months and its been sitting waiting for some TLC....and now i've used it i'm a bit hooked....so I think I may blog some more projects to show the diversity you can achieve from this die set!! Haha, now i've set myself a challenge.... eeek!

Have a look below and check out the products I used.
And if you order any of these via my online shop be ready to receive a special something from me....so don't forget to leave your address!!

No bones about it!

Hi all,
Thanks for stopping by..... My second blog of the week! Woohoo......there is a reason though, I had a stall to sell some of my cards at an event raising money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation and so set aside a good few days to totally update my stock.

Here's a little pic of my stall!

It gave me a chance to have a play with some of this seasons new stamp sets and I totally enjoyed it. No Bones about jumped out at me when I first saw the new catalogue. As a mum to boys its a fun and versatile set that I'll use endlessly....for their friends birthdays especially!

So its great to have the opportunity to share this fantastic product with you. I love the extra stamps such as leaves, vines, footprints and even a party hat!! as well as great sentiments too. It gives the option to build us a really fun scene.

I also used it to make my husbands Father Day card from our 3 boys!

Its a photopolymer stamp set which is a clear stamp which you mount onto an acrylic block. This makes layering the stamps really easy as you can see where you are going with it. With a few lovely green and brown inks this would be so easy to recreate.
For all orders with me in the months of July and August of £15 I will send you a copy of the new 2015/16 catalogue FREE (worth £5)
For orders over £30 you will receive a free gift too!
Check out my shopping list below for an idea of what you may need...

                                                                  Great catching up....
Love sharing and receiving your comments!!
                                                                         XOXO

Watercolour Wings

Hi there,
hope you are all enjoying the rain!!! Where on earth is our UK summer. For those outside the UK....I'll just explain. We've had storms, rain, wind and not much sun....but we're still hopeful that maybe tomorrow will be the day!! Luckily myself and my boys got a few days away in Norfolk and it didn't rain too much

And on return I was SO itching to get into my craft room and have a play. I wanted to share a project from the stunning Watercolour wishes set. It comes in photopolymer and that makes it super easy to layer up your colours and build your image.

I used the fern stamp from the Butterfly basics stamp set to create the background. These were a moderate make....meaning they require an amount of crafting skill to create this project exactly....but that's not to say this cant be simplified and made into a beginners project. All projects by The Paper Haven can be adapted for all! Below I'm going to provide a product list for any of you that fancy getting hold of these beautiful stamps which you can purchase through my online store x

The inks I used were a selection, I definitely used the Pink Pirouette, Soft sky and So Saffron inks for the ferns and used some brighter colours for the butterflies. Please let me know if there is you have any questions, id love to support and encourage you to have a go.

You can also find me on Facebook....I have a page dedicated to my Stampin' Up venture called The Paper Haven and its a place to share your makes, get inspiration and just to chat and share our love of Stampin' Up! Pop over for a visit!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
your comments are lovely to receive
and I appreciate the time you've taken out to read my blog.

Special Bonus!!!
With a purchase of £15 I will be ending out a copy of the Annual Catalogue for FREE (worth £5)

XOXO
Yvonne
